UI/UX Designer

(2-4 weeks contract)

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (2-4 weeks)
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Remote (UK timezone preferred)
Commitment: Part-time (2-3 days/week)

Design a premium marketplace experience. We need someone who can create trust through design, making a complex booking process feel simple and delightful. Think Airbnb meets LinkedIn.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Create high-fidelity mockups for 15-20 key screens
  • Design responsive layouts for desktop and mobile
  • Develop a consistent design system and component library
  • Create user flows for speakers, organizers, and admins
  • Design AI-powered search result interfaces
  • Craft trust-building elements (verification badges, reviews)
  • Produce assets ready for developer handoff
  • Iterate based on stakeholder feedback

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years UI/UX design experience
  • Strong portfolio showing marketplace or e-commerce work
  • Figma expertise (we use Figma for everything)
  • Understanding of conversion optimisation
  • Mobile-first responsive design skills
  • Experience with design systems
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fast turnaround times

Nice to Have

  • Previous marketplace platform design
  • B2B platform experience
  • Understanding of AI/ML interfaces
  • Animation and micro-interaction skills
  • Experience with trusted payment flows
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards
